I have been walking door-to-door in Hillsboro, Cornelius, and Forest Grove and want to give you an update. Currently, I am walking in Cornelius–yes, even in the cold! So far, I have walked to over 1,800 residences. Of the doors I have knocked, 48% of the time voters have been home and approximately 82% of those contacts say they will vote for me in both the primary in May and the general election in November. In addition, 24% have said they are willing to have a lawn sign in their yard during the election and 28% have given me their email so they can keep up to date on my activities.
I am also hearing what people want me to work on when I get elected. The #1 concern is education. Having experience advocating for youth and with a doctorate in education, I will fight for good funding and flexible education policies in the legislature.
